In what Dazed refers to as " a commentary of a non-fabricated slice of life post-Internet," artist  Beau Rice  recently published a book titled  Tex  that includes 18 months worth of G-chat messages and emails between him and his friends, strangers, and colleagues.

Green Monday True Religion Jackets, " Technology has birthed a paradoxical space between isolation and connectivity, profoundly expanding the possibilities for how and with whom we create intimacy," writes the publisher of  Tex , Penny-Ante Editions . They say that the 255-page book is "an experiment between the epistolary and the ectype...a performance act in print." Dazed got their digital hands on exclusive excerpts from the book , which are interesting to say the least. There is an email to the artist's bosses about him tearing a ligament while doing ballet moves in a hot tub, and another with an identified man looking to hook up for some good old fashioned BDSM and mummification.

For more information on this project and to explore what a "performance act in print" looks like, head to Dazed to read the excerpts and to find out where you can pre-order Rice's book.
